This turned out to be one huge study! Angels are mentioned through-out the Bible. 108 times in the Old Testament, and 165 times in the New testament. For a total of 273 times in all. It's such a huge study I decided to break it into two subjects, the good or holy angels (part 1)  the evil or fallen angels (part 2).

 A recent poll shows 70% of Americans believe in angels.  Angels play a part in every major world religion- angels are international.
 Muslims believe, every believer has two angels appointed to them.
 One on your right records your good deeds, the one on your left records your bad deeds.
 The Hebrews believe there are four angels that play major roles in the works of God Almighty.
 Michael - fights and avenges God's foes.
 Gabriel - reveals the secrets of God to men. Raphael - receives the departing spirits. Urial - who will summon everyone to judgment.
 The Book of Enoch, which didn't make it into the Bible, has it listed like this 2Enoch 20:1 These are the names of the angels who watch. 2 Uriel, one of the holy angels, who presides of clamor and terror.3 Raphael,  one of the holy angels, Who presides over the spirit of men 4 Raguel, one of the holy angels, Who inflicts punishment on the world and the luminaries. 5 Michael, one of the holy angels, Who presiding over human virtue, commands the nations. 6 Sarakiel, one of the holy angels, who presides over the spirits of the children of men that transgress. 7 Gabriel, one of the holy angels, who presides over Ikisat, over paradise, and over the cherubim.  (Ikisat = the serpents.)
 Michael and Gabriel are the only two good angels mentioned in our Bible. It seems the rest are sworn to secrecy? Judges 13:17 And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, What is thy name, that when thy sayings come to pass we may do thee honour? 18And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret?

 Unidentified Flying Objects have been recorded in various forms since the creating of man; crudely drawn on Stone Age murals, chiseled in Egyptian stone, noted in the journals of ancients like Alexander the Great, even described in the ship's log of Christopher Columbus. The Ufo's that are being reported may very well be the chariots of God or quite possibly the chariots of the fallen angels.

 So maybe you don't believe in Ufo's? I've gathered a few of the accounts in the Bible concerning this topic.
 It seems that angels, both the good and bad may pilot these types of craft. This being the video age in which we are living, more and more [see: footage of these craft are popping up, and more and more the so called experts aren't able to explain away what they are seeing.

 The upswing in Ufo sightings may be due to the soon revealing of the Antichrist, whom the fallen angels will serve.  Sightings will increase even more in the times ahead. As far as the abductions go, from what I've gathered, no true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (covered by the blood) has ever been abducted and taken away to be poked and prodded. As you will see, it's our guardian angels that protect us, concerning the Lord's will.

  Here is Ezekiels account.......

Ezekiel 1:3 The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him. 4And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire. 5Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man. 6And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings. 7And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass. 8And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings. 9Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward. 10As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle. 11Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies. 12And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went. 13As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning. 14And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning. 15Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel- (in Hebrew- galgal. meaning something round, by analyzing a whirlwind;) also dust (as whirled): spinning thing.) upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces. 16The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl (oddly enough, beryllium is a light metal with a high melting point that is used in the defense and aerospace industries.): and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel. 17When they went, they went upon their four sides (freely moving in any direction): and they turned not when they went. 18As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four. 19And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up. 20Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go (driven by their thoughts); and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels. 21When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels. 22And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above. 23And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies. 24And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings. 25And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings. 26And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it. 27And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about. 28As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.

  I know it's hard to picture just what Ezekiel is describing, but I would have to say that's a close encounter of the holy kind.

 These craft were described differently by men throughout the Bible. Chariots of fire is another description along with whirlwind.

 Chariot means any type of transportation.  Psalm 104: 3Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: Psalm 68:17The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them,

  Fire shows us, glowing or illumination.
 Nahum 2:3-4 .......the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken. 4The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.
 He's speaking of our present day. Headlights a blaze, small accidents moving about. Compared to chariots of Nahums day, I guess it would seem as though our chariots run like the lightnings.

 Whirlwind describes the motion.
 Isaiah 5:28Whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent, their horses’ hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind: 
 2Kings 2:11And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.12And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more:
 
 Job encounters a whirlwind ... Job 38:1Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind,

 Isaiah 66:15For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind,

 Jeremiah 4:13Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles.

 As you can see these whirling illuminated craft are very important to the LORD!
